Original Licitars (gingerbreads) are bright red colorfully decorated honey dough products. Tradition dates back to 17th century when young men were giving them to girlfriends to express their love and devotion.
The Gingerbread craft from Northern Croatia is on the UNESCO “Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage” for Croatian culture.
This pixelated version is handmade out of 139 (70, 46) plastic beads.
